About Scotland Wide
Scotland Wide was created during 2006 and launched, January 2007 by its owner and a small team of volunteers from both the Scottish tourist and internet industries. The concept of Scotland Wide was to provide a totally free tourist information and accommodation resource website for tourist related business's such as self catering, bed & breakfast, hotels and guest house accommodation as well as restaurants, Inns and tourist attractions.
The Reason
The reason for a free site is simple, the cost of running and advertising a tourist business is getting high every year. And having worked in the accommodation sector of the Scottish tourist industry as owners, the Scotland Wide team felt that a FREE professional service would provide Scottish tourism with a tool that was not only free but also instantly up datable and totally in the members control.
